Wineries and house prices

[edit]

The wine production occurs around Havelock, Obviously, haven't you seen the roadsigns? They all have a sign saying 'winieries' on them, they're all grown on the Heretaunga plains or on Te Mata Peak's Foothils.--Citikiwi 19:46, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flaxmere's got the Gimblett Gravels, Ngatarawa and the Maraekakaho wineries (Alpha Domus, Sileni) all around it. Flaxmere itself would probably be good wine growing land (if it wasn't covered in houses). On anoyther note the house price claim seems inflated - $2 million US? Maybe one or two old homesteads might reach over $1 million in NZ but there's no way that anythings going for four. Lisiate 21:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I live in Havelock and I think you'll be quite surprised how much houses here are really worth Citikiwi 21:36, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As do I, and they certainly don't reach US$2 million. NZ$2 million, perhaps, if they were on Te Mata Peak and really nice houses, but I can't find any evidence for that either. Simulato (talk) 01:25, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Subdivision value

[edit]

Was unable to find any evidence for the selling price of houses in the Te Mata Peak subdivision, so I removed that statement. It's fairly irrelevant to the article, in any case. Simulato (talk) 01:25, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"The village"

[edit]

Does "the village" refer to the whole of Havelock North, as the article states, or just the town centre, as stated at https://www.havelocknorthnz.com/. Nurg (talk) 08:57, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
